2008

Creation of Chapters (Uplift health ,Wealth) and setup of two decision making bodies –Technical Committee (made  of organization decision makers) and Strategic Committee (community representatives) and a Programme Management Unit reporting to these committees

2007

The Board of Uplift decides to create chapters within Uplift to streamline activities and governance.  

Swayam Sikhshan Prayog Mumbai and SHEPERD Tamil Nadu join as members

2004

Uplift is registered as UPLIFT INDIA ASSOCIATION , SEC 25 ,NON PROFIT COMPANY under the Indian Companies Act 1956

2003

Three more non profit organizations Disha Kendra, Pune; DISHA, Pune and Annapurna Mahila Mandal Credit cooperative Society, Mumbai joined the Uplift network.

2002

Uplift started research to set up Community based Health Mutual Fund with Annapurna Pariwar Vikas Samvardhan in order to provide its members health protection and access to quality services

2001

Five nonprofit organizations namely Swabhimaan, Pune ; Inter Aide, France; Navnirman Samaj Vikas Kendra, Mumbai; Parvarti Swayamrojgar, Pune and Annapurna Parivar Vikas Samvardhan, Pune form Uplift Network in order to share resources and knowledge to  improve their impact from microfinance activities.

2000

Swabhimaan, a Pune based technical support organization is set up with the support from Inter Aide, a French NGO.
