UpLift India Association (UIA) is a network of nine organizations involved in activities improving and strengthening the livelihood of the poor since the year 2000 in Pune, Mumbai & now extended to the Marathwada region & Kolkata. It was formally registered as a Section 25 Not for Profit Company in December 2004. read more
Targeted Community
The target population belongs to the class of people who reside in slums and have an income of less than and equal to Rs 2500 per capita income (PCI) per month. UIA is assessing the poverty level through a Poverty Assessment tool.
Our Programmes
Income Generation Programme
The programme aims to improve the socio economic status of the poor by building the capacity of Community Based Institutions that deliver relevant financial, capacity building and livelihood development services. Click here to read more
Community Based Health Mutual Fund
The aim of this programme is to facilitate access to quality health care at appropriate rates and avoid instances of instability of income due to health expenditure to low income/poor families. Click here to read more
