Hasina Nijamudin Sayyad - Indira Nagar - Parvati
Hasina, thanks to the seven micro credits she obtained with Parvati has increased her level of life. In a bit more than 4 years she developed and diversified her business, multiplied by 3 her income and built up savings.
For 20 years she has been working in “Bangles” (bracelets). The tree first credits helped her to develop her business, and allowed her to invest in a combined house shop in the Indira Nagar slum in Pune. Then from a door to door business she came to an established shop.
Widow, she has tree children: 2 sons (21 and 16 years old) and a daughter (18 years old).
The next micro credits allowed her to diversify her business: public phone, mixer maintenance, cutlery, and extension of the bangle business with traditional and costume jewellery.
The credit amount she obtained increased step by step from 1 500 Roupies for the first one to 30 000 Rps for the last one. Her income has been multiplied by 3 in four years from 3 000 to 9 000 Rps monthly. Each repayment includes 25% of savings: In four years she built up 13 000 Rps saving.
Thanks to Parvati’s programs her oldest son can now study by attending evening classes. She also subscribed to the Health Mutual Found, which give her access to quality health care at fair prices.
She saw her life quality improve a lot, therefore the level of life of the all family increased too.
